What Scarlett is
Scarlett is a digital character with a point of view about working wardrobes: ivory, charcoal and oxblood, quality over quantity, and outfits that survive a full day. There is no human founder story behind the name, and no claim that Scarlett wears, tests or owns anything. The character is a way to keep the editing voice consistent.
The closet-first mindset
Most style content is a reason to buy. These edits try to be the opposite. The order of operations is always:
- Combine what you own. Every guide on this site can be followed without buying anything. If a look needs a piece you do not have, the guide names a common substitute.
- Find the real gap. Only when a palette is missing something specific does a product enter an edit, and then only one.
- Link plainly. A product link points to the retailer's ordinary page. Scarlett does not earn a commission, and the retailer's current price, stock and shipping always govern.
- Stop. An edit ends when the outfit works, not when a cart is full.
How an edit is made
An edit starts from a palette or an anchor piece, not from a product. Styling guides are written from that palette and kept practical: proportions, layers, shoes, small finishing checks. When a product is included, its name, shade, price and retailer link are checked against the official product page on the date shown in the edit, and the brand's own color category is quoted rather than reinterpreted. Nothing about how a product wears, feels or performs is claimed, because nothing has been used.
What this site does not do
- No affiliate or commission links, no sponsored placements, no brand partnerships.
- No invented catalog. At launch there is exactly one verified product on the whole site.
- No reviews, ratings, testimonials, follower counts or sales figures.
- No newsletter, account, contact form or checkout. Nothing is hidden behind a signup.

About the images
The still life used across the site is an AI editorial image made for Scarlett. It is a mood, not a product photograph, and it is labeled that way wherever it appears. Product cards are typographic on purpose: Scarlett has no rights to retailer photography and does not render fake packaging or swatches.
